Julie qualified as a registered nurse in 2011 at ³Ô¹ÏµÚÒ»Ïß University. Throughout her nursing career Julie has worked in a variety of clinical settings, starting as a newly qualified nurse within day case surgery. After 2 years Julie progressed to elective orthopaedic surgery and was promoted to a band 6 junior sister. In 2018 she pursued a career in forensic nursing within Hereford Police Custody where she gained her qualification in Forensic and Legal Medicine.

In 2020 Julie became an agency nurse working clinically within Herefordshire, Gloucester, ³Ô¹ÏµÚÒ»Ïß and Abergavenny. During the COVID pandemic she also joined NHS Professionals as a Clinical Contact Caseworker.

During 2023 Julie joined the ³Ô¹ÏµÚÒ»Ïß as an Associate Lecturer delivering clinical skills training to student nurses where she found her passion for teaching. At the end of 2024 Julie joined the ³Ô¹ÏµÚÒ»Ïß as a full time Lecturer in Adult Nursing.
