  • Social Pedagogy: working with children and young people on a BA Early Childhood course

    The practice of Social Pedagogy is a new and exciting approach to working with children and young people and now recognised by the Early Childhood Studies Degree Network as key approach to supporting children within the contexts of family, community and society. The BA Early Childhood course at the ³Ô¹ÏµÚÒ»Ïß is already endorsed by the Social Pedagogy Professional Association and this session provides an opportunity for you to learn more about how Social Pedagogy could be of benefit to you, the children you work with and your future career.

  • MSc Psychology Virtual Taster

    Thursday, 10 April 2025, 18:00-19:00

    Our online information sessions for the MSc Psychology will be hosted by the course leader, Dr Sarah Davis. In each session, Sarah will provide an overview of the course in terms of what, when, and how we teach our course content and what you can do to prepare for Postgraduate study in Psychology. There will be an opportunity to ask questions about applying for the course to begin in September 2025.

  • Progressing your career with Foundation and Top Up degrees at the ³Ô¹ÏµÚÒ»Ïß

    Thursday, 10 April 2025, 7-8pm

    A virtual Open Evening aimed at anyone who would like to begin to 'learn while they earn' in the education and childcare sectors and who wish to progress their career and upgrade their CV. Course Leaders from a range of courses leading to careers or leadership positions in teaching, early years and the wider children and families sector will introduce their courses, share their entry requirements and discuss where their graduates move to after they have completed the course. Courses covered will be FdA Early Years, FdA Education and Development, FdA Teaching and Learning Support, Integrated Working with Children and Families Top Up and Teaching in Primary Education Top Up which are delivered at the ³Ô¹ÏµÚÒ»Ïß and, for some courses, at partner organisations. All are welcome whether you are already committed to further study and want to find out more or if you are just curious about where a higher education course could take you.

  • Applied Health and Social Care BSc (Hons) Top-Up Degree Webinar

    Tuesday, 29 April 2025, 18.30 - 19.30pm

    This session is suitable for anyone who has undertaken a relevant Foundation Degree or Level 5 qualification, who is interested in pursuing their career and studies in health and social care.   During the session you will find out more about the course; get to meet current staff and students; ask questions and think about future career opportunities, as well as taking part in a short taster session.
